Serve Others

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve.”

Mark 10:45

At Calvary Chapel St. George, serving is part of following Jesus. As we pursue Christ together, we use the gifts He has given us to care for people and build up the body of Christ. Whether welcoming guests, discipling the next generation, or serving behind the scenes, every role helps make Christ known.

Serving is one way we live out our mission at Calvary Chapel St. Georgegrowing servant leaders, helping people become devoted followers of Christ, and glorifying God in all that we do.

"Then the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’"

How to Start Serving

1. Submit a Ministry Questionnaire (MQ)

Let us know where you are interested in serving by filling out an online or physical “MQ”. Fill out the online MQ form (button below) or turn in a physical form to the Front Office. Physical forms are located at the Information Board.

2. Connect With a Ministry Leader

A ministry leader will reach out to help you learn more about the team after you fill out an MQ.

3. Join the Team

We will help you get equipped and connected so you can begin serving.

We warmly invite everyone involved at CCSG to join us for Ministry 101 & 102 whenever they are available. It's a great opportunity to share the heart and principles of serving together and strengthen our community.

Serve FAQ

Fill out the Ministry Questionnaire  (MQ)  form located at the Information Board. A ministry leader will reach out to help you learn more about the team and next steps.

Once you submit the form to the Front Office, we'll take care of running a background check. This step helps us keep everyone safe and comfortable at our church. After the check is complete, your ministry leader will get in touch with you to guide you through the next steps of joining our team. We're excited to have you on board!

Many of our teams provide training and will help you learn. A willing heart and a desire to serve others are the most important starting points.

This depends on the ministry team and your availability, but most teams serve on a rotating schedule so that no one person carries the load.

Yes. Many people serve in more than one area. We usually encourage starting with one team first and then adding another if it fits your schedule. We would add and encourage you to prioritize sitting in a service yourself and to be spiritually fed and poured into on a regular basis.

We encourage people to attend regularly and get connected to the church so that serving flows out of being part of the body. Do you have a serving history from a previous church? Then introduce yourself to one of the Pastors and tell us your story!

Yes. Because we care deeply about the safety of children and students, these ministries include a supplemental background check form. We run annual background checks on Kids and Youth servants to ensure our students' safety.

Ministry 101 & 102 are classes where we share the heart, vision, and principles of serving at Calvary Chapel St. George. It is a great next step for anyone who wants to grow as a servant leader.
